CHURCH OF SAN BARTOLOME
(SÓLLER)
20
CHAPEL OF SOULS
00:00 / 00:57
The space occupied by this chapel is one of the sections extended with the modernist reform that was carried out under the direction of the architect Joan Rubió Bellver. The Christ that presides over the altarpiece is a papier-mâché image from the 18th century. It has articulation in the arms, so it is the image that is used in the Descent and goes out in procession every Good Friday. On the right wall of the chapel there is a painting of Ecce Homo, the work of the painter Juan Pizá Cañellas (Palma, 1877-1962). On the left wall we find the Holy Shroud. It is a reproduction of the Shroud of Turin.
